In this khutbah, Br. Amer goes over the ayah from Surah an-Nur [24:35]:

"۞ ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰ⁠تِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشۡكَوٰةࣲ فِیهَا مِصۡبَاحٌۖ ٱلۡمِصۡبَاحُ فِی زُجَاجَةٍۖ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوۡكَبࣱ دُرِّیࣱّ یُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةࣲ مُّبَـٰرَكَةࣲ زَیۡتُونَةࣲ لَّا شَرۡقِیَّةࣲ وَلَا غَرۡبِیَّةࣲ یَكَادُ زَیۡتُهَا یُضِیۤءُ وَلَوۡ لَمۡ تَمۡسَسۡهُ نَارࣱۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورࣲۚ یَهۡدِی ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَیَضۡرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡأَمۡثَـٰلَ لِلنَّاسِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَیۡءٍ عَلِیمࣱ

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is as (if there were) a niche and within it a lamp, the lamp is in glass, the glass as it were a brilliant star, lit from a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east (i.e. neither it gets sun-rays only in the morning) nor of the west (i.e. nor it gets sun-rays only in the afternoon, but it is exposed to the sun all day long), whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself), though no fire touched it. Light upon Light! Allah guides to His Light whom He wills. And Allah sets forth parables for mankind, and Allah is All-Knower of everything.

Shaykh Tahir delivers a khutbah on the subject of the hereafter and our attitude towards it.

In this khutbah, Br. Amer covers the virtues and status of the day of Friday and how we can practically implement certain actions and deeds that would bring us benefit. Br. Amer also explains our position in regards to non-Muslim holidays.

Br. Amer discusses the migration of the Prophet ﷺ from Makkah to Madeenah and derives some benefits and lessons from this event. From amongst the many lessons is the importance of having the correct understanding and implementation of at-tawwakul.

This khutbah goes over the well-known hadeeth, recorded in Sahih Muslim and Sahih Bukhari, about the man who killed 100 people.

In this khutbah, Br. Amer goes over some of the characteristics of ebadur-Rahman. This khutbah is incomplete as the recorder inadvertently stopped prematurely.

Br. Amer teaches us the importance of reflecting on the past year and realizing that we are moving closer towards our final abode.
