"Ki Tavo - When You Enter" - August 28, 2021

Listen Later

Torah Portion "'כי־תבוא/Ki Tavo" which means "When You Enter" delivered on August 28, 2021.This week's portion covers Deuteronomy/Devarim 26:1-29:9 and begins, "And it shall be, when you come into the land which יהוה your Elohim is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it,”This week's Torah portion is Ki Tavo which means, “when you enter,” but can also translate as “because you will enter.” Pastor Richard teaches about how the Land of Israel and the Messiah are one! HaShem needs three things from us today: eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to receive. He needs our heart today and in the future so stop looking at the past.Pastor Richard touches on only one commandment in this Torah teaching, which Rav Shaul (Rabbi Paul) wrote regarding in Romans 13:9, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” This is the commandment that we need to address as people. We must love ourselves and our neighbors. This is a fence that we must build around this commandment.Lastly, Pastor Richard teaches about how and why we must pass through the Jordan in order to be used by HaShem and in order to enter the promised land. Extend compassion and mercy and make every attempt to judge everyone favorably.May this teaching bring you Shalom! This week our Haftorah teaching is delivered by Ro’ah Alpha from Isaiah 60:1-22, and the New Covenant E-drash is delivered by Brother Mark from Matthew 13:1-23.We hope and pray that you find blessing in our teachings. Please join us each week as we dig deep into scripture to learn more about who our God is, reveal the Messiah throughout the Old Testament and illuminate the Jewishness of the faith.Ro’eh Richard CortesThe Foundation of The Word Outreach Ministrieswww.thefoundationoftheword.org
