The time as come for us to do a little MLS Preview show! The boys rundown all the teams and give some predictions for the season. Can Seattle repeat as champs? Will Carlos Vela win MVP again? Will Bruce Arena make New England a contender? Stay tuned! The Champions League Round of 16 has finished up Leg 1 of all the draws. This week we saw Bayern Munich handle Chelsea on the road 3-0 and Barcelona v Napoli ended in a 1-1 draw. On Wednesday Juventus lost to Lyon 1-0 on the road while Real Madrid let a lead slip away and lost to Manchester City 2-1. Leg 2 will be in 3 weeks time! Finally, we look at the upcoming weekend in the Premier League (Week 28). Sunday will be the day to pay attention to as Everton host Arsenal and Spurs will face off against Wolves.
We finally see Week 26 of the Premier League come to an end after a long drawn out 10 days. Manchester United got the best of Chelsea 2-0 Monday at Stamford Bridge. The match had host Adam livid about the consistency of VAR that really changed the outcome of the game. Burnley continues its great run of form with a 2-1 over Southampton on the road. Arsenal gets its best performance under Mikel Arteta with a 4-0 drubbing of Newcastle, Liverpool survive a scary vs Norwich, and Spurs given a gift as they beat Aston Villa on a last second shot by Son Hueng Min. Also the Champions League is in full effect. Erling Haaland aka The Blonde Bombshell of the Bundasliga scored twice as Borussia Dortmund took down PSG 2-1 in the first leg of the Round of 16 and much more from the Liverpool match vs Athletico Madrid. Finally, we preview Week 27 of the Premier League that sees Chelsea taking on Spurs and Leicester City vs Manchester City in the battle of 2nd place!
The boys take a look a the Round of 16 matchups in the Champions League. It will kick off on Tuesday the 18th with Athletico Madrid v Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund v Paris Saint Germain (PSG). The huge draw of the round will see Real Madrid face off against Manchester City. Can the Man City defense hold off Karim Benzema and Madrid? Former USMNT coach Jurgen Klinsmann decided to quit his job at Hertha Berlin, a Scottish man gets sentenced for punching a horse cop and Chelsea make a big transfer round out the hot topics. Finally, a breakdown of the upcoming weekend of the Premier League. Friday will see Wolves take on Leicester City in a great matchup. The week ends on Monday with Chelsea hosting Manchester United in a big six point game! Thanks for the continued support !
The Premier League is into it's "Winter Break" with only 4 games this weekend and the rest the following weekend...very spaced out to give teams some rest. Everton v Crystal Palace Saturday with Sheffield United v Bournemouth and Man City v West Ham on Sunday. The boys also dive into the Round of 16 FA Cup matchups that will take place in early March. Both USMNT and USWNT are attempting to qualify for the Olympics this summer. The USMNT had a lot of fresh faces in their January camp recently. They were able to beat Costa Rica in a friendly last week 1-0 with new boy Ulysses Llanez scoring the only goal. Also Bryan gives us some life lessons, talks about his favorite Liga MX team Tijuana Xolos (favorite player is a guy named Killer Miller LOL) and goes on some epic rants. Welcome back Bryan! Lastly, is Messi on his way out of Barcelona? Love you guys!
It's another week with this being a bit different of a show....because this only happens two times a year! The hectic schedule brought Adam into the studio by himself to bring you all the transfers that have gone down this month. Bryan had to catch a flight to Texas but have no fear, he was able to call in before he got on the plane : ) Lots to discuss with all the new faces in the Premier League. And same faces but in a different kit. Finally, a little tribute to Kobe Bryant who tragically died in a helicopter accident early Sunday morning. His impact on the game of soccer was immense and had many friends within the soccer community. The Kickin It Stateside boys send their thoughts and prayers to the Bryant family as well as the other families that were impacted by this tragic event. Love you guys!
A special match week full of mid week games! It's a grueling season and only the strong will survive. Week 24 of the Premier League saw Bournemouth finally get a win! Eddie Howe and the boys were able to beat Brighton 3-1 to help in their relegation battle. West Ham has the toughest schedule left and its not looking good for the Hammers. Chelsea and Arsenal played to a wild finish as Arsenal was able to rally from an early red card by David Luiz to draw 2-2. Also Leicester is officially back, Manchester United continue to struggle without Marcus Rashford, and Liverpool get it done again 2-1 late over Wolves. FA Cup is this weekend so this is a chance to talk about some of the fixtures and potential upsets! Finally all the hot topics around the world and any transfer rumors that have been completed/possibly completed. Silly season is upon us, folks! Stay tuned!
We start out this weeks episode recapping Week 22 of the Premier League. The top game had Liverpool holding off a surging Tottenham team 1-0.
The win saw Liverpool break multiple records and keep their lead in the table at 14 points. Chelsea was able to get back in the win column as they dispatched Burnley 3-0. In the battle of relegation Watford easily beat Bournemouth 3-0. With Bournemouth struggling so much, do you think Eddie Howe will get fired before the end of the season?
In other record setting news, Sergio Aguero netted a hat trick as Manchester City routed Aston Villa 6-1! Sergio Aguero now has 14 league hat tricks and 177 goals in the top flight. Finally, VAR seemed to be used quite a bit this weekend to the demise of many fans. Do you think VAR will become better over time with some adjustments?
