Today, our Kicks 99 Christmas Wish recipient was a special needs boy named Emilio, who recently came to live in the CSRA from Arizona, after being adopted by his aunt. Emilio is twelve years old and gets bullied at school because he has to wear the same clothes multiple days in a row--the bullies have even physically assaulted Emilio, leaving his glasses broken and unwearable.

Emilio's aunt makes ends meet, but doesn't have extra resources to provide clothes, school supplies or an eye exam and new glasses.

Emilio and his aunt were nominated by a friend, and today, our community of Kicks listeners came together to not only provide Emilio with new clothes, shoes and school supplies--but also an eye exam, new glasses, AND counseling & mentorship through Bikers Against Bullies.

This is what Christmas and the Kicks Christmas Wish is all about: families helping families; and this morning was a heartwarming reminder of the generosity and goodhearted people of Kicks country.
