Hello, I am Elizabeth Hutchison, your host of Kicks and Sips, the official podcast. Currently I am a captain and player on the WPSL and USL-W women's soccer team California Storm and soccer's always been my life - until wine entered the picture. In 2019 after graduating from UC Irvine and playing Division-I soccer for five years, I interned at a winery in Sonoma Valley called Mayo Family Winery. I learned how to take care of a vineyard, work in a cellar, and also give tours and sell wine to guests. From there, I attended UC Davis and received a Masters of Science degree in Viticulture (the science of grape-growing) and Enology (the science of winemaking). I now live and work in Napa Valley for the Duckhorn Portfolio as a lab technician. My friends call me the wine scientist, and I am here to blend my two favorite loves in life together with this podcast.
