Kickstarter 3 – We Look at Apps, Accessories for iPad - iPad365 - iPad App Show [Video]

It’s our 3rd Kickstarter app episode. I look at several Kickstarter apps that deal with iPad. That way you can make a choice to back these projects or wait for something else.

Kickstarter: Complete Dock

This is a dock designed for multiple tablets and smartphones. The idea is when a new device comes out with a new connector, you change out the connector only. It even has a connector for the iPhone 5.

The dock is completely adjustable for whatever device you have. The connectors (patent pending) fit the cable in the dock so all you have to do is insert the device and walk away. You get one connector for free, the other connectors will cost.

Pledging $59 will get you a Complete Dock.

Kickstarter: GeoGerba

GeoGerba is a software for mathematics  The idea: if you need to work on problems, you can do it from your iPad. The company has a applet for your computer right now. They are raising $10,000 to build an iPad app.

I am a little concerned about this app. Even though they have a desktop link going to a cloud run app, I was not impressed with the Kickstarter. Nowhere is the software being demonstrated. All they have is a guy working on a piece of paper on top of an iPad.

It’s a great idea – just be careful on this one.

Kickstarter: Manatee

I like quiet and dark while sleeping. My girlfriend cannot fall asleep unless a movie or TV show is playing. We set the iPad up on a TV stand which works well. However, with this device, the iPad can be closer and she can use headphones to fall asleep to while I’m not disturbed.

Manatee has a silicon holder that fits any tablet with any case. The wood ball joint allows for positioning in any direction.

Manatee is looking for a $17,900 goal. $179 backer will get you this stand.

Kickstarter: AirBridge

I use Airplay which is great. I would like to be able to do more than sling movies to a HDTV. AirBridge gives you ability to share to multiple devices. Share to a TV, iPhone or other tablet. You can even file share with this device.

Airbridge needs the pairing devices in order to do so. The dock connects to a monitor so you can run your presentation.

AirBridge is looking for a $500,000 goal. Backing at $99 gets you an Air lite.

Kickstarter: GoPad

This is perfect for people using an iPad for mobile tasks. A surveyor, or waitress that is assigned an iPad can put in the GoPad and wear the iPad around their neck. GoPad rests on the belly to give you a hands-free experience. The GoPad can also act as a stand or handlebar to hold the iPad.

GoPad is looking for $75,000. For $55 you can get an iPad, Samsung, Windows8 or ASUS version of the GoPad.

Kickstarter: Form1 3D Printer

I talk about this new high-def 3D printer in Form1 that is not for iPad but could make some cool iPad accessories down the road. It uses a high resolution to make the 3D models. Where some 3D printers come out with product that looks rough, the form1’s process puts out a cleaner result.

Form1 already surpassed their $100,000 goal. There is still time to back them. $2,299 backing level gets you a 3D printer.

Kickstarter: Auris Bluetooth music
