40 years ago on Christmas Day, 1983 I received a tape recorder from my Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob as a present. I began recording "radio shows" and conducting interviews. Eventually, I got a smaller tape recorder and began bringing it with me on vacations and to parties, capturing moments in my life. It became a personal diary. It’s now a snapshot of my life. But it’s also a snapshot of what daily life was like in the 1980s, and '90s before the Internet and cell phones. Before the rest of the world had devices in their hands that connected them to the world, I held a device that I’m now sharing with the world. This first episode or volume is a highlight reel. Eventually, I’ll share full episodes of world events, sporting events, trips and more.

I named this podcast after the name of this diary. I'm John Alois and this is Kidding.
