Inspired by a true story, WILDFLOWER is a coming-of-age film that follows Bea Johnson (Kiernan Shipka) from birth to graduation as she navigates life with two neurodivergent parents and an extended family who can't quite agree on the best way to help. We chat with director Matt Smukler and actress Kiernan Shipka about the importance of this film, that was actually derived from Smukler documentary of the same name.
