-How long have you been creating music?

I started creating music when I was 18. The first things I produced were exciting, but they only started to sound good a few years later.

-What do you use to make your tracks?

I work with the DAW Ableton to produce my tracks and use various software instruments, including Trilian for high-quality basslines and IK Multimedia Modo Bass. I’m also very enthusiastic about the controllers from the Dutch manufacturer Soundforce, as they support my creativity and let me intuitively create great sounds.

-How and when did you first discover Dirtybird?

I first discovered Dirtybird when Audion did a remix of Claude VonStroke. After that, I listened to more tracks by Claude, Tim Green, Sammy D, Justin Martin, and the Donk Boys. The playful, unique aesthetic of the label quickly captivated me, and since then, I’ve been following their releases closely.

-Which Dirtybird artist would you want to collaborate with the most?

I’d love to collaborate with Claude VonStroke. His creative vision and unique sound have a significant impact on the scene, and I believe working together would be incredibly inspiring. It would also be exciting to work with Steve Lawler or Guzbass; that would be a fantastic experience, too.

-If your entire life was a movie, what title would best describe you?

That is indeed a challenging question, deeper than I initially thought, and it has had me pondering for several hours now. :)

The title "Whispers of Power, A Symphony of Contrasts" captures the essence of my journey. It evokes the interplay between quiet strength in my mind and vibrant contrasts. This title reflects contrasts—no boxes in thinking, depth for emotions, the calm I seek, the minimalism in my expression, and the powerful, vibrant energy I embody. It also encompasses my openness to experiences and the playfulness that adds a lightness to my life. Together, these elements create a portrait of who I am.

-What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?

The most beautiful concert for me was when I saw Peter Gabriel. His music is deeply connected to my family, especially with my dad. If I can relate this question to a club night, then it would definitely be Troy Pierce at the City Hall in Barcelona.

-If you could time travel, where and when would you go?

If I could time travel, I’d actually like to stay in this time!:) I enjoy this era, setting aside political issues and negativity. I find the present very exciting, as there are so many possibilities and directions to explore. It feels like a kind of carefree freedom. Okay… maybe I’d travel back for a few brief moments to a time with less social media, so that people could live and enjoy the moment more. Haha!

-What species of bird best describes you and why?

I would say the turkey best describes me! Turkeys are a bit goofy, often wandering around with a carefree attitude. :)

-What does Dirtybird mean to you?

Dirtybird means a lot to me. It’s not just a record label, but a vibrant community that celebrates creativity and fun. Dirtybird represents unique music shaped by both newcomers and established artists. I’m excited for what’s still to come!
