In 2018 Kiko Matthews broke a World Record, becoming the fastest female to row the Atlantic solo. When she set out from Gran Canaria to Barbados, it was the first time she had rowed in the open ocean. What’s even more staggering is that only a few months earlier she was undergoing brain surgery.
