Have you ever revisited something that you have not seen for at least 20 years or so and it did not live up to the memory you had of it?

Well, that is the experience we have this week while watching the 1988 horror comedy, “Killer Klowns from Outer Space”.

This film was quite ahead of the clown craze we are going through right now but in this case they are played mostly for laughs instead of scares. Which is a shame because they are probably the most terrifying designs you will ever see.

The film itself is a bit weak even though I know it is well liked in the horror community. Perhaps it is because the movie is self aware and it seems pretty well everything is self aware now.

But it still is a treat to see the clown designs onscreen after all these years. The vision is still there though and its worth a watch.
