  • Ripping the Band-Aid Off: The Not-a-Cancer Cancer (Bonus)

After listening back to the episode she just recorded, Kimble decided it was too heavy. So she came back with some more context: why she isn't afraid, why she quit skiing, what the bull shirt means, and how she plans to build joy on top of a diagnosis.

  • Ripping the Band-Aid Off

Kimble set one goal for 2026: finish it all. The book. The podcast. The house. The garden. The friends. And — while she was at it — a new doctor in a new city.

That last one is where this episode goes.

What follows is six months of scans, three insurance denials, two panels of specialists, one cyst named Orangelo, and a single very long word that ends in "-noma." Kimble walks you through all of it the only way she knows how: sideways, out of order, and with a detour to Walgreens for the right Band-Aid.

This is the most personal episode of Kimble-ing so far. It's also, somehow, one of the funniest. Kimble breaks down what she's been told, what nobody can tell her yet, why "Kimble math" turns a 60% into an 85%, and what it actually looks like to build joy while you're stuck in limbo waiting on somebody else's phone call.

She's had cancer twice before. She's beaten it twice before. And she's not done yet.

    In this episode:

    • Why ripping the Band-Aid off fast is not — and never will be — Kimble's style
    • The 2026 annual goal (she does not do New Year's resolutions
    • The liver babies, and how a denied CT scan turned into a crafty workaround
    • The word you should never, ever Google before you talk to your doctor
    • Kimble math: how a salesperson reads a survival statistic
    • What "we're going to watch it" really means, and why limbo is the hardest room to sit in
    • Making joy on purpose when the plan gets taken away from you

  • Hurricane Kimble: Controlled Chaos of Building A New Home From Scratch

Kimble takes us inside the controlled chaos of building a new home from scratch — in a new city, with a new person, and a lot less square footage than she started with. From midnight sketches on graph paper to a chance encounter at a Greek restaurant, what started as a nesting project turned into a full community. This is what reckless optimism looks like when it gets buried in boxes.

    In This Episode

    • Kimble unpacks the real cost of reckless optimism — literally — as two households collide into 1,200 fewer square feet in a brand new city
    • A 3 AM graph paper sketch kicks off a bedroom build
    • A solo drive, a Greek restaurant called Chris', and a stranger's "Welcome home" set off a chain of coincidences that connects Kimble to her entire design team
    • The baby blue 12x12 room that became the podcast studio you're watching from right now

  • Last Nash: Mocktails Tour (Bonus)

What happens when your last night in Nashville is sober, intentional, and somehow more memorable than any night before it?

Two longtime friends — dressed in couture, not cowboy boots — climb into a silver convertible and set out for a mocktail tour of Nashville's best bars. From the spicy-sweet Prairie Flower at Otto's, to the replacement spirits at Mother's Ruin, to the transcendent Kimbeltini crafted just for her at Husk — this is Kimble's farewell to the city she called home, two days before hitting the road to her next chapter.

This is the bonus content episode that goes deeper into Last Nash — more details, more space, more story.

    In This Episode

    • Otto's — a converted warehouse, a black cat mural, and the first mocktails of the night
    • Mother's Ruin — non-alcoholic spirits that taste like the real deal
    • Husk — oysters, Southern vegetables, the Free Spirit, and a Kimbeltini made just for her
    • A silver convertible, a rising moon, and the perfect Nashville finale

  • Last Nash: Leaving Nashville & Practicing Reckless Optimism

Place has always been everything to Kimble — until it wasn't. In Episode 2, she shares the story of leaving Nashville after 25 years: the house she and Boz never got to renovate, the two-year punch list that followed, and the Last Nash Tour she threw herself to close that chapter.

Plus: what reckless optimism actually means — and why she refuses to stop practicing it.

    In this episode:

    • The Nashville home Kimble and Boz never got to renovate — and why it was time to go
    • Two years of clearing, fixing, and making the space fabulous — and why fabulous still wasn't enough
    • The Last Nash Tour: a deliberate send-off of 25 years in Music City

  • WTF Is Kimble-ing? Living Your Best Life in Small Moments

    What exactly is Kimble-ing?

In this first episode, Kimble shares the story behind the word that eventually became a way of life — and now, a podcast.

What started as a nickname for her habit of curating spontaneous adventures with friends slowly evolved into something bigger: a philosophy about living intentionally, embracing curiosity, and finding joy in the small, everyday moments that make a life meaningful.

But the journey to Kimble-ing didn’t happen overnight.

Kimble reflects on the experiences that shaped her perspective - from building businesses with her husband during the 2008 recession, to navigating unexpected loss, and ultimately beginning a new chapter of life in coastal North Carolina.

Along the way, she shares why the little things matter more than we realize — and why curating moments of joy, curiosity, and connection can transform how we live.

Kimble-ing isn’t about luxury or excess.
It’s about presence, play, and the pursuit of everyday magic.

And this is just the beginning.

    In this episode:

    • The story behind how Kimble-ing became a verb
    • Why intentional experiences matter more than expensive ones
    • How loss, change, and reinvention shaped the Kimble-ing philosophy
    • Moving from Nashville to Wilmington and starting a new chapter
    • What listeners can expect from future Kimble-ing adventures
