ニューギニア島の妖怪「キンブーヤン」をイメージして楽曲を作成。コヴァべという精霊としても知られる。手持ちの音源では近しい地域のものを使用した。アボリジニの流れが強いようだが、エリア的に遊び心でジャワやバリの楽器も取り入れてみた。また、今回自作のスラップスライムという楽器も用意した気合の入りよう。

今回、こだわり抜いたのは先住民族たちのもつ力強いエネルギー。大地の雄叫びである。アフリカ地方の積分的なポリリズムアプローチやわずかなタイム感のズレ、複数のリズム隊による壮大な合奏を目指した。

また、日本ではお盆の時期に行われることも多い盆踊り。お囃子をリズムパターンに詰め込んだ。とりわけ阿波に古来より伝わる阿波踊りにインスピレーションを得た。日本のお囃子、とりわけ阿波踊りの形態は独特なリズムでなされているが、それを一聴して違和感と感じる方は少ない。つまり音楽はあくまでも集合体でノリが形成されるのであるが、その構成要素は実に多様に富んでいる。いわゆるグルーブ(Groove)は至極興味深い分野であるが、阿波地方ではこれを「ぞめき」(Zomeki)と呼んでいる。

Created a song based on the image of "Kinbuyan", a monster from New Guinea. Also known as the spirit Kovabe. I used the sound sources I had that were from nearby regions. It seems that there is a strong Aboriginal flow, but I also tried to incorporate Javanese and Balinese musical instruments with a sense of playfulness in the area. Also, this time, I prepared an instrument called Slap Slime, which I made myself.

This time, we focused on the powerful energy of the indigenous peoples. It is the roar of the earth. Aiming for an integral polyrhythmic approach from the African region, slight discrepancies in the sense of time, and a magnificent ensemble with multiple rhythm corps.

In Japan, Bon Odori is often performed during the Obon season. Music was packed into the rhythm pattern. In particular, I was inspired by Awa Odori, which has been passed down from ancient times in Awa. Japanese musical accompaniment, especially Awa Odori, has a unique rhythm, but few people feel uncomfortable listening to it. In other words, music is a group of collectives that forms a groove, but its constituent elements are truly diverse. The so-called Groove is an extremely interesting field, and in the Awa region it is called 'Zomeki'.
