Kindness Changes Everything

Colossians 3:12-17

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Ephesians 4:32

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Why do we struggle to be kind?

We are not in the “moment”.

We are too competitive.

Too busy getting our “to-do” list done for the day.

Stuck on our aches and pains.

Tired and hungry – you’re not you when you’re hungry!

The key to being a soul winner is when we go from doing “random” acts of kindness to “intentional” acts of kindness.

Big Idea:

Kindness changes everything.

Closing Thought:

1. Be kind to at least 3 people everyday for the next week.

2. Journal your progress.

3. Give testimonies of the responses and or the outcomes.

4. Encourage others to be kind – while it is called today.
