When we hear the word kindness, many things may come to mind-a kind person you may know, an experience you may have had where you were treated with kindness, or a story about kindness you may have heard. A thought that may not come to mind is the truth that as a child of God, kindness indwells your born again spirit along with the other eight fruit of the Spirit. In Matthew 5:13, Jesus refers to God’s children as the salt of the earth. In this message we will see how the characteristics of salt reveal a perfect picture of the fruit of kindness that lives inside of each and every child of God. The greatest display of kindness was that of a Father who offered His Only Son to a world that was incapable of saving themselves. As a result, anyone who has come to trust in this savior, also receives His very nature, and this nature is the source of true kindness.
