This book is set in 1976 about a black woman named Dana Franklin, who on her 26th birthday, is suddenly transported back to the 1800’s to the antebellum South of Maryland in order to save a young white boy named Rufus Weylin a number of times from dying long enough for her great grandmother Hagar to be born and what she experienced during that time.
