Some time after the germanic pagan Ida claimed the kingdoms of Deira and Bernicia from the Brythonic people of the north, the ruling families briefly stopped murdering each other for just enough time for someone to rule in the way their subjects truly deserve. It's just a shame no one has really heard of him. This is an effort to rectify the situation. He may not be Alfred the Great but he was a Great Alfred.
