King Charles cancer, Mild Winter, Monkey in La Linea, Possabilities

Buckingham Palace last night announced King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer. The King has started a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Following the announcement from the Palace, the Governor and Chief Minister have jointly conveyed their very best wishes of the people of Gibraltar to the King. Kelly-Anne Borge brought us the details.


The world is experiencing record heat and Gibraltar is no different. The Met Office has confirmed January 2024 was the hottest January since records began in 1947. Clement Hutin from the Met Office was here to talk us through it.


Gibraltar’s macaque is still exploring La Linea. A drone is being used to keep it contained in the area while vet Mark Pizarro attempts to sedate it. Our cameraman, Donovan Torres, is with the team and and gave us an update over the phone.


And, Gibraltar's neurodiverse support facility PossAbilities has launched 'Ability Adventures' for young children with early developmental needs, aged 18 months up to 4 years. PossAbilities' Nicole Buckley joined us in the studio.
