It seems that just about everyone disliked Henry VIII, from his own father and even his daughter (Bloody Mary), but this didn't stop Henry from ruling England the way he liked. With lots of hunting trips, broken treaties with other nations and many wives by his side, even though it broke the rules of the Catholic church to divorce and remarry.

Don't worry, Henry found ways around the church by creating his own religion, the Church of England.
