Worship Wars Part 7: Made to Worship

In this final message of Worship Wars, we walk through Book of Genesis 2 and discover that we were intentionally created; body, soul, and spirit. Design implies purpose. You are not random; you were formed by the Creator of the universe.

Worship isn’t just something we feel, it’s something we’re made for. When we worship together, it strengthens us physically, mentally, and spiritually. Our bodies carry meaning, but they also have limits, and we’re called to steward them well.

When something was “not good,” God said, “I will.” He always had a redemption plan through Jesus Christ. We were not created to be alone. In Him and in His Church, we find strength and experience His eternal glory.

You were made to worship.

In a world full of noise, whose voice are you following?

In John 10, Jesus reveals Himself as the Good Shepherd — the One who calls us by name, guards us from the enemy, and leads us into abundant life.

The enemy wants to isolate.

Jesus gathers.

The enemy steals.

Jesus restores.

We weren’t created to drift — we were created to be shepherded.

Lean in. Listen closely. Stay planted.

Worship Wars Pt. 2 | The War for Worship

There is a war for your worship, and it often begins in the waiting.

In Exodus 32, the people of Israel grow impatient when God feels silent. Instead of trusting Him, they build a substitute.

This message explores how waiting seasons reveal what we truly depend on and how worship is more than a moment in a service — it's where we place our trust.

When life feels uncertain, comfort, control, and self-reliance can quietly replace devotion to God. But Scripture reminds us that wrong worship carries a weight, and repentance is an invitation to move forward, not stay stuck.

Exodus 32-33 | Romans 1

What we trust in is what we worship and real worship always produces fruit. Jeremiah 17:5–8 reminds us that where we’re planted matters. Comfortable, fake worship is easy… but authentic worship is costly. God uses hard seasons to refine our roots, not destroy us. When we plant ourselves in Him, we grow deep, stand firm in trials, and produce a lasting harvest. Following Jesus doesn’t mean we won’t face storms, it means we won’t fear them. Build His kingdom before your own. You are called, gifted, and planted on purpose.

Something is always fighting for your worship.

Money. Fear. Distraction. Control.

But when Isaiah encountered the holiness of God, everything shifted.

He was cleansed, restored, and then sent.

We don’t worship to fill time or follow tradition—we worship because the King is worthy, and because Jesus stepped off the throne to bring us back to God.

This is where worship begins.

This is where calling is awakened.

Reconciliation isn't comfortable-but it's powerful.

The Thrill of Hope reminds us that beginnings matter. That the story of Jesus begins not in perfection, but in a mess. Born in a stable, Jesus reveals the true nature of God: accessible, near, and willing to dwell among the weary. God chose to be relatable to the very people He came to save, stepping into brokenness to bring redemption. Even now, Jesus enters the middle of our mess, meeting us with hope and transforming us into messengers of His good news.

Pastor Kristie dives into 1 Kings 18, Elijah confronts a divided nation with one piercing question: “How long will you waver between two opinions?”

A divided heart leaves no room for the King.

This message calls us to choose completely. To rebuild the altar of our hearts by laying down pride, pain, control, and false identities. Our hearts are the altar, our bodies the temple, and our lives the sacrifice.

God’s fire doesn’t fall on effort, it falls on surrender.

When the altar is restored, God restores identity and releases His consuming fire.
