Throughout the book of Acts we see a remarkable unity between people of different races. This was a shock to the current culture who wanted to keep people divided, labeled and living in their own social cast. Christians boasted a new identity where whether you born a slave or free, man or woman, Jew or Gentile, poor or rich, or whatever the world used to divide---were now equal in Christ. This was a radical challenge to the entrenched social structure at the time of the early church as well as a radical challenge to the social structures of today.
