The work of God to establish His Church is not a past event. Philippians 2:13 says "it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure." As Lord of all, God is not going to join you in your work, rather you are to join Him in His work. God loves you more than any kingdom you are trying to build, and He is worthy of our submission of all things to follow Him.
