Jesus made a very double edged statement seemingly in passing which many get excited about and at the same time do not realize how dismissively dangerous it is.
“The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me”
In turn, not hearing and recognizing His voice determines whose sheep one is not.
Kindly note that in the mind of God, hearing means completing the task and instruction at hand.
Let us discuss the place of obedience as admonished by James to be doers and not only audio consumers of what Christ says to us.
