Word of God - Absolute Truth

● 2 Tim 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of

God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for

correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that

the man of God may be complete, thoroughly

equipped for every good work.

○ When we aren’t “experiencing it”

○ When we don’t “feel it”

○ When we don’t “understand it”

○ When the “theologians say otherwise”

○ When we “don’t agree”

Lay down our life

● Matt 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If

anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny

himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but

whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

○ We are trading our ways for His ways

○ We are trading sorrow, stress, & sickness for

joy, peace and health.

● Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by

the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a

living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is

your reasonable service.

● Gal 6:8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the

flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the

Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

○ Verse 10 says “Therefore, as we have

opportunity, let us do good to all...”

We come to serve

● Matt 20:17-28 The Message

○ Jesus came to serve those who were held

hostage by sin.

Seek the Kingdom of God

● Luke 12:31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all

these things shall be added to you.

We Forgive

● Mark 11:25 “And whenever you stand praying, if

you have anything against anyone, forgive him,

that your Father in heaven may also forgive you

your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive,

neither will your Father in heaven forgive your

trespasses.”

We Walk in Love

● John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you,

that you love one another; as I have loved you,

that you also love one another. 35 By this all will

know that you are My disciples, if you have love for

one another.”

We Pray for Our Enemies

● Matt 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemies,

bless those who curse you, do good to those who

hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use

you and persecute you

We are Generous

● 1 Tim 6:17 Command those who are rich in this

present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in

uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us

richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that

they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to

share, 19 storing up for themselves a good

foundation for the time to come, that they may lay

hold on eternal life.

● 2 Cor 9:8 And God is able to make all grace

abound toward you, that you, always having all

sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance

for every good work.

We are Doers of the Word

● James 1:25 But he who looks into the perfect law

of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful

hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be

blessed in what he does.
