Practical Issues
Gross or Net? I will not look for ways to give God less! [Whole – Unbroken]
Spouse on board? Promises, opportunity vs. obligation; lead, not dictate; Pray and Partner; If can’t agree, yet, obey Lord in what you control.
What about debts owed to others?
Priorities; Mercy and Grace; Peace; learning to TRUST can be painful, but yields Supernatural results.
If I am not connected with a church where I can worship, give and receive prayer, be taught the Word by gifted and called leadership, have connection to a Body of Believers, be spiritually covered by Pastoral leadership …. What do I do? Always remember Jesus is your Lord and He receives and directs His tithe!!
Flowing in God’s Economy
Destroying The Myths That Hinder Abundance:
Myth #1: Jesus was poor.
Truth: Jesus perfectly fulfilled the Law and thus walked in the blessing of
the obeyed Law! (Deuteronomy 28:1-13) (Question: When does the
Word say Jesus ever walked in financial or material lack?)
Question: What about II Corinthians 8:9?
Notice: The context is gifts and giving.
Notice: What “His poverty” provides!
Remember: This poverty is compared to what He left in Heaven to
temporarily experience on earth. (See Philippians
2:6,7)
Truth: Jesus assisted the poor and taught others to do the same. (Matthew
19:21; Luke 14:13,21; 18:22)
Truth: Jesus was given expensive gifts as acts of worship. (See Matthew
2:11, Kings; John 12:3—5, Mary)
Truth: Jesus never lacked what He needed financially and materially to run
His life or ministry.
Myth #2: Jesus was a homeless wanderer.
Truth: Born in a stable because inns were full. (Luke 2:7)
Truth: Matthew 2:11. Jesus had a home as a child.
Matthew 4:13. Jesus settled in Capernaum as a grown
man. (NASB) (See also John 1:38,39 and Mark 2:1 NASB - “at
home.”)
