Approximately 55% of Americans have invested in some sort of stock. Investing is on the rise and many people see it as a way to increase their financial status and prepare for the future, but even with this in mind how many of us see the Kingdom as an investment? What does it mean to invest? In short, it means to extend money with the expectation of achieving a profit. So why have we not taken this mentality with God’s Kingdom? When someone dies, we always hear “you can’t take your belongings with you”, yet we show no change in our actions to secure our spiritual futures. There is nothing wrong with obtaining financial wealth, as a matter of fact, God WANTS His children to prosper but not at the expense of our eternal security.
