Psalm 27

We've spoken a lot about relationship with God, how He establishes it with us. How God desires and pursues us. We've talked about how we bring very little to the table. God is the author of salvation. We've talked about where our obedience begins and comes from (our love of God). In this message Pastor Jeremy speaks on our new life in Christ. In Christ we are spiritually alive. We work, live and function in a spiritual realm. This new life is the Kingdom Life.

1. The Kingdom Way

in Psalm 27:11 David is not interested in dealing with his problems his own ways. He is seeking the ways of God, the Kingdom way of doing things. Secondly, when we are passionate about something it changes how we live. Jesus was so passionate about the work of the Father and about His love of mankind. He did not solve earthly problems in earthly ways. In the Kingdom, to be the greatest you must become the least, the meek are championed, the Kingdom conquers not with sword and spear, but with love. A life of selflessness, faith and obedience.

2. Wait for the LORD

Waiting on the LORD is not a passive waiting. It's a time of preparation, a time prayer and meditation on His word. It is a time of seeking God constantly snd trusting that He is working and will do what He has promised. Even when we do not feel Him, be strong, take courage, WAIT for the LORD!

3. Seek His Face

If you could ask God for one thing what would it be? In Psalm 27:4 David says "One thing I have asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in His temple."Is that our heart? What David desires is what God desires for him, close, intimate RELATIONSHIP. At Crossroads we're not after rules and tradition for religions sake. We're after deep, moving, life-transforming relationship with the Father.
