The Biblical idea of the Kingdom of God is deeply rooted in the Old Testament and is grounded in the confidence that there is one eternal, living God who has revealed Himself to men and who has a purpose for the human race which He chose to accomplish through Israel. But what does it all mean? What is it good for? Since we don’t live in a “kingdom” but under a republic, called the United States, we must look back and see how kings and kingdoms reigned so we can attach meaning and move forward in our understanding. Jesus came. He is the King of Kings, Messiah, and Savior in our world today and forevermore!
