Every child of God has authority for the impossible (Matthew 16:13-19). When we are like Peter, confessing Jesus to be the Christ and the Son of the living God, we are given keys of the kingdom of heaven. Those keys – which represent the Holy Spirit – give us the power and ability to become what we think is impossible to become, and to do what we know is impossible for us to do. When we live by and keep in step with the Spirit, we can become more like Jesus, who lived a life of rest, security, and hope with complete confidence that His Heavenly Father was working all things for His good.
