Jesus focuses on the what kind of character is blessed and valued and honored in the kingdom of God, and the kingdom influence that believers are to have in this world. Jesus begins to explain how his teaching of the kingdom relates to the law of Moses, a subject which was a growing concern with the religious leaders.
