Think about your front door for a second. If you live in a modern house or apartment, it’s probably pretty easy to close the door quietly… maybe you have to take a little extra care to do it slowly and gently so as not to wake up the neighbors, or your mom or other family members. Recently I encountered a door that just wouldn’t cooperate. No matter how slowly or gently I closed it, it still made this unearthly moaning sound that was loud enough to wake an entire village.
