The greatest Chef in all of Dreamland is coming for a visit and King Dedede wants to impress him. Unfortunately all he has on hand is one Chef Kawasaki, objectively not the greatest chef in Dreamland. That's a big problem but, oh well, if he can't get a good review on the food, atleast he can see what Kirby tastes like.
