Another thing that I adore about Swifties: they're current. Like I mentioned before, I love Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Dokken, etc., but GOT DAMN its hard to find other fans of that style of music sometimes without going online. If I'm wearing a Taylor Swift shirt... BAM! Instant conversation with most people... most of which being women, which certainly doesn't hurt this nigga.

Those who know me know that I LOVE talking about music and with all due respect to 40-50 something year old, sweaty dudes out there who I can talk about Judas Priest with, I'd kinda prefer chicks. Haha!

There are also the many, many Swiftie dance parties and karaoke events. I could only dream of there being a hair metal dance party or NWOBHM dance party or something in the year of 2024. These Swiftie events, while fueled only by capitalizing on Taylor Swift's name, offer plenty of opportunities to connect with other Swifties.

For example, when you go to regular karaoke to sing a song by a certain group, not everyone is guaranteed to know what or who you are singing. And thus, they won't care and will ignore you and chat to their friends at the top of their lungs while you're singing. I've seen that plenty of times with the songs I do most of the time. But at a Taylor-themed karaoke night, I can sing the deepest of deep cuts (if its available), and lots of Swifties will sing along instead of giving me the cold shoulder.

I love that shit.

All in all being a Swiftie has been quite an amazing journey, so far... and I plan on telling you all more about it in the future, but for now, enjoy SwiftieMania: The Anthology!
