Black women experience maternal deaths at three to four times that of non- Hispanic white women.⁣ I have invited the amazing Dr. Ruthie Arumala a physician who specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) to discuss some of the reasons why black women are at greater risks, and also to share things that my African American sisters and mothers out there need to know to get the best care possible.⁣
