Ever wonder how to decide which camera is the right one for your podcast setup? Fr. Robert and Bryan will show you how!
Choosing your Podcast CameraStep 1: Know your format and budget!
Step 2: Know your Sensors!
Many cameras us CMOS sensors. They're MUCH better than they were in the old days, but they're still not as sensitive to light as CCDs. Multiple Sensor cameras use multiple sensors to pick up red/blue/green. 3CCD is still the gold standard.
Step 3: Know your Audio!
You want a camera has dedicated STANDARD audio inputs. XLR preferred - 3.5mm acceptable. Avoid proprietary solutions.
Step 4: Know your Media Format!
AVCHD (Advanced Video Coding High Definition) with SDHC storage
DVCPro with P2 (Professional Plug-In)
Logitech HD Pro C920
Panasonic AG-HMC150
"I want to buy an HDMI cable to connect my laptop to an external monitor. I notice that most of the cables listed on Amazon include Ethernet. Will I have a problem if I use one of these cables to only use an external monitor wit my laptop?"
-- William Burlingame
HDMI with Ethernet
Personally, I'm a fan of the "Select Series" of HDMI Cables at Monoprice
"New day, new quadcopter problem for me. Got my 450 all together and ready to go. Put the props on in preparation for the first flight.... and one of the prop nuts just pulls off of the motor.... don't think I'll be flying with that. I had really cheeped out on the motors with that one (silly me). So, for a 450mm frame, running 10" or 11" props on 3 cell batteries, what would you all recommend for motors?"
-- Travis Hershberger
Two inexpensive motors that I like!
"1 - Does anyone know the value of the two variable resistors on Fr. Ballecer's Arduino project board?
2 - What is the backboard that Fr. Ballecer is using to mount his Arduino and Breadboard?
I have tried searching the Community for this information but I'm not having any luck. -- Thanks...
also, why is Cranky Hippo such a Diva?"
-- Joe Valasko
Here are the Pots I used:
