Its not enough to pray to God

Its not enough to just seek God

Its not enough to read his word…

You gotta study his word… study the intricacies, the whole bible. What does that verse you just read mean in the context of salvation, creation, sin, redemption… 

What do other verses speak of regarding this topic…

In Bible college Pastor Harry Schmitt played a tape of an old southern -down deep southern pastor from a small tiny church… the pastor was preaching about King Solomon’s wealth and got to the verse  in 1 Kings 11 where it talked about all of his wives and concubines…

So many bad sermons on that verse…

I read, study, study, pray, read etc… and here is a secret I have learned… my insight does not come from all the books but rather from the searching…

2 Timothy 2:15 

Be zealous to be a proven hard worker that is shows in every area of your life. That you made a pure clean cut in your handling of Gods word… and his truth now makes a divine manifestation in your life.

By simply being a hard working zealous pursuer of Gods truth you are changed and blessed… maybe more than the actual truth at some times. 

Back to what I was saying a minute ago… my insight, my blessing, my illumination is a gift from God from my hard work of handling his word properly. 

Look peeps, get your bibles, get your concordances, get your study helps, your greek text and Hebrew text and study…

Yes pray

Yes memorize

Yes Read…

But don’t miss out on Studying Gods word… that goes a long way past simply reading.
