How great is the love of God? How can anyone measure God in any way? We know that God is eternal in every way. We mortals have no way to measure eternity, let alone put our measuring devices before the Creator of all things.

What if God would reveal his love to us in some measurable way? What if God would give us hint as to the measure of his love? He did just that. God has given us a gift and blessing of being able to call God "Father." The Apostle John, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote this for us: "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him" (1 John 3:1). Happy Father's Day.
