We pray this prayer because . . .

a.  From God the Father: Eph. 1:3-6

–  New Family Identity:  Eph. 2:1-3

–  New Family Image:  Rom. 8:29

–  Fatherly protection:  Jude 24

–  Fatherly provision:  Matt. 6:31-33

b.  From God the Son: Eph. 1:7-12, Col. 2:9-10

c.  From God the Holy Spirit: Eph. 1:13-14

–  The inward witness of adoption:  Rom. 8:15-16

–  The Fruit of the Spirit:  Gal. 5:22-23

–  The increased focus of Christ in our lives:  John 16:13-14
