Usually, identity is the way we perceive ourselves. It shapes our beliefs and those core beliefs, in turn, drive what we think, say, and do. How do we describe ourselves, by our attributes, heritage, possessions, backgrounds, and aspirations? Over time, our description becomes our earthly identity. The active pursuit of finding, knowing, and growing in our spiritual identity is paramount. As believers and followers of Christ, we walk in the newness of life, a new creation; hence the term born again.

John 3:3 says, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." (NIV)  Being in Christ Jesus is our spiritual identity. And, our identity in Him is the greatest treasure on earth.
