First of all during your self-talk, you must discover if something is still worthy of your pursuits.
Does it still hold value? You can even flesh it out in a scenario of how you might react, if you quit right now. How does that look to you? What feelings are conjured up with this thought of quitting? What effects will this have on others?, etc.
Now take what you've learned from these sessions and use them to make your decision. If you discover that you have doubts about quitting, chances are it still holds value to you.
On the other hand, if you’re complacent and resolved about the matter to quit, then you know the answer.
I wish you well.
