We all want to know who we are. When we are young we try to “find ourselves.” Many of us have taken personality tests and other assessments.My wife Wendy and I have three children, all in different stages of life and yet all similarly trying to figure out who they are.

I remember those days – giving in to peer pressure, wanting to look or act a certain way to be accepted by others.

Sometimes adults stress just as much as teenagers about what others think of them. It motivates so much of what we do, want, buy, say. God wants you to stop thinking so much about what others think of you and instead commit to learning what He thinks of you. Listen to these truths from the Bible:  You were created in His image. You are more valuable than many sparrows. You have sinned, but sin doesn’t have the last word, grace does. In God’s eyes, you are a new creation. You are completely free from sin and there is no condemnation for you. You are utterly secure in Christ and He will never leave you or forsake you. Through Jesus, you are victorious and have a glorious future. You are a citizen of heaven and an ambassador for Jesus.
