  2. Number 2: [S4E8] Point Pursuit - Paddy Bailey vs Ian Schulze (i.e. Happy 50th Episode!)

    Welcome to Point Pursuit! Here are the Rules: Players are presented with three question types: Multiple Choice, Open-Ended, and Triple Trouble, sometimes called Plural Possibilities. On their turn, a player selects one of the two available categories under any question type. Multiple Choice questions are worth 20 points, Open-Ended questions are worth 40 points, and Triple Trouble questions are worth 60 points. The selected question is read to both players. The player who chose the category gets the opportunity to answer first. If they answer correctly, they earn the full point value of the question. The opponent also has a chance to answer. If the opponent answers correctly, they earn half of the question’s point value. Once a category has been selected, it is removed from play and immediately replaced with a new category. The opponent then takes their turn selecting a category. After each round, players face off in a Brawl. For the Brawl, six categories are presented, and one is randomly selected. Players then go back and forth naming correct answers that fit the Brawl category. The Brawl continues until the list is completed or a player gives an incorrect answer. If a player answers incorrectly, their opponent gets the opportunity to go on a streak, naming as many correct answers as they can until the list is completed or they give an incorrect answer. Every correct answer in a Brawl is worth 5 points. Before the Brawl begins, the player with the lower score gets a strategic advantage: they choose whether they want to go first or second. After the Brawl is complete, the next round begins. Play continues for five rounds, followed by the final Brawl.
