But dangers lurk in the short-term cost-cutting approach embraced by many organisations. The arrangements – and, in some cases, the companies – may not be sustainable. There’s a fine line between organisational agility achieved by varying head counts, and having the right in-house talent and capabilities. Employers need workforce models that can be scaled quickly to meet business demands.
