It  seems like everyone is installing those new doorbell cameras these days, and why wouldn't you?  They let homeowners know who's at their front door and gives an added layer of security.

They also can record pretty much anything that's happening on the sidewalk and street in front of a house, which is exactly why police departments have been so eager to partner up with doorbell camera maker Ring.  New reporting found that over 400 police agencies have entered into partnerships with Ring so they can more easily get a hold of all of that valuable footage, which raises plenty of issues............so we'll go In Depth.

The main agency tasked with outreach to L.A.'s growing homeless population was the target of a stinging audit that found it failed to meet several goals for getting people off of the streets, even as it's flush with taxpayer cash to get the job done.
