It seemed like the plot for a TV show, but it seems to be headed toward a bad ending for TV star Jussie Smollett. From making tens of thousands of dollars per episode on his television series , to posting 100 thousand dollars in bail. He claimed he was the victim of a racist, homophobic attack on the streets of Chicago. But today, Chicago law enforcement answered back---NO---it was, police and prosecutors say--all faked by Smollett in order to get a raise. We will go In Depth.

It is a story with many subplots....including an apparent rush to judgement by some politicians , celebrities and mainstream media. Should they have been far more critical..less accepting of Smollett's early claims? We will ask those questions.
