Welcome to the KNX In Depth year-end special podcast—with Mike Simpson, I’m Charles Feldman. We are looking back on the year that was in national politics, and it was definitely a memorable year that saw an upheaval in the political climate of the country. Republican control of the federal government came to an end in November, but not after a failed attempt to repeal Obamacare and a successful attempt to pass massive new corporate tax breaks.
The man in the middle of all of this was President Donald Trump. Whether it was through his Twitter megaphone or his convention-shaking actions at home and abroad, President Trump was the center of the American political universe—for better or worse.
Joining us for this special podcast is A.B. Stoddard, she’s a columnist and editor at Real Clear Politics; and Robert Shrum, director of the Unruh Institute of Politics at USC.
