Israel was in a sinful state and didn't repent and seek Jehovah's guidance before going into battle against the Philistines and suffered a great loss.?

This text brings the transition from the end of the ministry of the High Priest Eli, to the Lord's calling of Samuel as the Prophet and Judge over Israel.

The text contains the vile sins of Hophni and Phinehas and the judgment of the sons of Eli. God sends a prophet to Eli to pronounce His judgment against his sons for the great wickedness that they had committed against God and His Tabernacle, as well as God's people Israel. The essence of the text is the wickedness of Eli's sons Hophni and Phinehas who were supposed to serve as priests at the tabernacle to sacrifice offerings in Shiloh. An exposition of 1 Samuel 2:11-17.

This text gives us a perfect picture of the Lord's sovereign works in and through His faithful servant Hannah. It also reflects several of God's Attributes in the outworking of His Sovereign plan for Israel. An exposition of 1 Samuel 2:1-10.

God has answered Hannah's prayers and has blessed her with a son. Now after a period of 3 years, she takes her son Samuel to the Temple in Shiloh and offers sacrifices to the Lord and dedicates him for a lifetime of service, fulfilling her vow. An exposition of 1 Samuel 1:21-28.

Though Hannah was childless and vexed by the constant barrage and provocation by her rival, because of her barrenness, we see a vivid example of the Lord's faithful maidservant who demonstrated humility and grace even in the midst of a difficult trial. An exposition of 1 Samuel 1:8-20.

This text is the beginning portion of an exposition of a godly woman named Hannah which means "Grace". Hannah was a woman great of faith, who exhibits "grace" in pursuing God in her great desire for a child. Hannah is the main character of the first Chapter and half of Chapter 2 of I Samuel.
