오늘은 vacation에 대해서 이야기해보고자 합니다.

한편 회사를 다니거나 일을 하고 있는 사람들의 vacation은 '휴가'라고 부릅니다.

휴가도 한자어입니다. 휴는 쉴 휴고, 가는 '틈' 가라는 한자로 이루어져있어요.

즉, 쉬는 틈이라는 뜻입니다.

즉 한국말에서는 vacation이 방학 또는 휴가라고 부를 수 있는데요

방학은 학교를 다니는 사람에게

휴가는 일을 하고 있는 사람에게 적용할 수 있는 말입니다.

Therefore, 휴가 means an interval for resting.
