Glenda Richardson (00:00): Okay, this piece was actually a fun piece for me. It's called "Korhogo Garden." It's called Korhogo Garden, and korhogo is the type of fabric that you see in that figure. It's from the Ivory Coast, and most of it has mystical representations.
(00:27): I call this a fun piece because a lot of times, I just want to get as much movement in that fabric as I can, and if you get close to it, you can see that it's all kinds of fabrics. It's embroidered, some of this little strip here was hand-dyed by me, some of it came from clothing, repurposed clothing, and I think it's just a delight to the eyes. And so sometimes I do stuff just to make myself happy, and this is one of those pieces.
