The CEO’s of Meta, Snapchat, Discord, X and TikTok are scheduled to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee about the efforts they have made to help stop the exploitation of kids online. The proposed Kids Online Safety Act, a bill defining requirements to protect minors from online harm, seeks to create liability for apps and online platforms that can negatively affect a minor’s mental health.
